Avory & Lois Johnson's 1955

This 1955 Thunderbird is currently the earliest bird in our flock. Assembled February 15, 1955, the car left the Detroit assembly line finished in Thunderbird Blue (color code T) with turquoise and white interior (color code XC).
In other words, it looked almost exactly as it looks today.
Powered by the 292 Y-block V8 engine, the Thunderbird was destined for the Detroit sales district.

The current owner's husband shares the responsibility of maintaining this beautiful '55, along with other Thunderbirds in their fleet. This bird is owned by former CTCI officers and current VTCI members Avory and Lois Johnson of Nickerson, Kansas.
